FAQs
-
The Climate Finance Fellowship is structured as a 6-week program. Each week, there is one session with a 4-5 hour duration. Each session will consist of two of lectures and two interactive solutions-oriented group projects. Each set of lectures and group projects will cover a specific Climate Finance Tool.
The lecture aims to provide an overview of each Climate Finance Tool from technical and historical perspectives. This explanation is followed by a group project (team of 3-5 fellows) that focuses on the practical application of the specific Climate Finance Tool. Each group project will have a randomized set of fellow teams so that fellows can constantly develop new networks and perspectives.
The minimum 5-hour weekly time commitment can be easily exceeded if the fellow spends time studying the knowledge material, conducting individual research on specific Climate Finance topics, and scheduling office hours with the fellowship instructor. -
The fellowship is designed to be valuable and accessible for beginners and advanced professionals interested in solving Climate Change-related problems. The course is particularly helpful for researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, advocates/volunteers, philanthropists, and finance and investment professionals.
-

Each chapter delves into the relevant Climate Finance Tools' historical evolution, conceptual breakdowns, data and statistics, public policies, and prominent case studies.
Future updates will include new chapters, coverage of additional topics, and chapter updates on concepts, financial tools, and case studies. -
The Climate Finance Fellowship and Online Course have a similar curriculum. However, there are significant differences.
In the fellowship program, the fellows are guided through the dense information via lectures and interactive group activities. Whereas the Online Course is a self-paced and individual program.
The fellowship can be more effort-efficient for time-constrained professionals.
The Online Course is more affordable. The fellowship has an lifelong elite community component which the online course does not offer. They both have two-year access of knowledge material. -
Fellows can be admitted into the program through two ways: an online application or by special invitation. The fellowship program is selective, but not intended to be restrictive - i.e., adopting frivolous acceptance rates.
There are two components of the application. First, the motivation/interest level of the prospective fellow. The fellow must briefly mention how they plan/intend to apply Climate Finance in their future objectives. Second, there is small questionnaire about time zone restrictions and scheduling constraints. This is important component is critical for both applicants and invitees since the cohorts have an international emphasis.
The application form should require less than five minutes for thorough completion. -
Yes, the fellowship certification could be used to comply with annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD Credits) requirements.
For instance, Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA Holders) require 20 hours of annual CPD. This course can help them comply with 1-2 years (20-40 hours) of CPD requirements. -
After the last session(completion) of the fellowship program, you will receive the certification.
-
